I
wonder how many times Jesus has said to me , “get behind me satan”
just as he had done to Peter when Peter failed to understand Jesus'
mission ... I wonder how many times I've had human (not Christian)
thoughts like Peter ... thoughs which were 'satanic' because what I
wanted (in my human eyes thinking it would be a 'good' thing) was
actually diverting Jesus from his ministry , his plan for life ...

the call of this day : be weird , be free, be new , be revived , be in the peace of God , be in the freedom of God , think about your mentors and friends who bring you light , praise God for the goodness of his name and deeds , praise him for his word , praise him for his truth , praise him for all that he has done and will do , praise him for the present day , look at all that he is doing right now , praise him for excitement , for energy , praise him for the ability to say “God” and not be punished , praise him for the freedom to own a Bible and not be scared you might be found with it , praise him for the love you have felt from others , from community , from a spouse or a friend , praise him for the great day to come when he returns , praise God with each breath, each footstep, each eyeblink as daniel higgs would say , “say God like a river of God-sayings.”
